Cristina Fernandez is the President-elect of Argentina, and wife of outgoing President Néstor Kirchner.
In the October 2007 general election, Fernández ran for her country's presidency, representing the ruling Front for Victory party. She won the election with nearly 45% of the vote, and a 20% lead over her nearest rival
Lujan Fernandez
Luján Fernández (born in 1979) is an Argentine model, who has appeared on the covers of several fashion magazines.

Luján Fernández grew up with an affinity for acting and from early childhood was involved with several local television programs. She was a teenager TV star before becoming a model, and was discovered at the age of 14 years while on an Uruguayan beach. After consulting with her parents, because she was a minor, she decided to give fashion modeling a try. A few photo shoots later, she knew that fashion industry was her calling. With hard work, local and even international publications soon marked her resume, all before she was 18.
Luján appeared on the covers of ELLE, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, as well as United States, German, and French Vogue. The work kept coming and, like many foreign models before her, she decided to move to New York City. This would prove to be a great decision, as she was now more accessible.

Fernández hit the runway for the likes of Ralph Lauren, BCBG and John Bartlett, and has been featured in print campaigns for Perry Ellis, Victoria's Secret, Chloé, Emanuel Ungaro, and XOXO. She also appeared in the 2000 and 2001 Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. These two appearances cemented Fernández's title as a supermodel. The world over got a glimpse of her assets, and liked what it saw. Soon, she was the most prominent Latina model, and one of the busiest as well, doing more runway shows and magazine shoots than ever before. With plans in full swing for various fashion shoots, she has made it clear in the past that a career in television is not unrealistic, as she plans to return to her acting roots in the future.
As of January 2007, however, Lujan has been conspicuously absent from any print ads or other fashion industry activity since 2002. There is currently no information as to the reason for this absence.
She ranked #66 in Maxim's 100 Sexiest Women in 2001.

Luján Fernández is an avid reader of poetry, including such poets as Allen Ginsberg, Dylan Thomas, Shel Silverstein, Maya Angelou and Pablo Neruda.
