Prime-time Latina mogul Cristina Saralegui is saying goodbye to the world of talk show television later on this year. But all her over the accomplishmentspast 20 years are not lost on some people, especially not the wonderful folks of the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts.
They will be giving Cris the 2010 2010 Raúl Juliá Award for Excellence. The NHFA gives out this award to Latinos in the entertainment that the organization feels is advancing Latino in front and behind the camera. And God knows that Cristina has been doing plenty of that all her career.
Cris had this to say about the whole thing:
“I am honored to be recognized by this illustrious award named after the late, great and world renowned actor Raul Julia. I salute NHFA and their leadership over these last 14 years.”
Congratulations to Cris. We see she’s bowing from “El Show de Cristina” in style.
