Okay I was trying to learn how CSS drop down menus work, but I'm having some issues.
1. The "drop down" part looks like it has an indent. They don't start directly underneath the link that I hover over (Does that make sense?)
2. I'm using CSS sprites for #site, and they are supposed to be horizontal. I can't figure out why they are displaying as vertical. I thought display:inline took care of this?
Thanks in advance for any advice you guys can provide. I'm really confused!

Hi,
My CSS is a bit weak to say the least, and I could really do with a few pointers. I hasten to add it's not necessarily through a lack of reading.
I've already created a drop down menu in javascript, but I'm looking at CSS as an alternative. Just doing a bit of experimentation. (Forgive the terrible colouring it's just for clarity at this point.)
In the following code I've purposely left a vertical gap of about 7px between the dropdown and the navigation menu. This is set in ul... Read Full Story
Buttons, whatever their purpose, are important design elements. They could be the end point of a Web form or a call to action . Here, we present you several techniques and tutorials to help you learn how to style... Read Full Story
I am struggling with correctly positioning 4 elements inside a div using CSS. The solution may include slight changes to the markup, so consider the following example XHTML

<p id="enter_button"><a href="mainpage.html"><img src="images/enterbutton.jpg"
alt="enterbutton.jpg" /></a></p>
<p id="exit_button"><a href="http://www.gottago.com"><img src="images/exit.jpg"
alt="exit_button" /></a></p>

Hello,
I'm new here and fairly new to web design. It was a few years ago that I read Head First's book on XHTML & CSS, but I'm back at it now! Currently I am reading the Sitepoint book Build Your Own Web Site The Right Way Using HTML & CSS . It will be somewhat of a review for me but I'm hoping to get involved in this community when I can use the help, and possibly help others as well.
