Ms. Lewis is asking the public for help in locating her son, Brandon Jerome Butler. Ms. Pamela Lewis went through a divorce in the State of Maryland in 2001, and the judge granted her full custody of her son, Brandon Jerome Butler, with 30 days visitation with her ex-husband, Elvis D. Butler, USN, 425-49-4725. During Elvis Butler visitation rights, he took Brandon to
Forest, Mississippi to his parents' house (Smith and Rose Butler). At the end of his visitation, Ms. Lewis went to pick-up her son, and they had her arrested for trespassing. She was locked up in jail for over 12 hrs before she met the judge that dismissed the case. However, while she was locked up, his attorneys contacted the Judge in
Maryland and had the child custody decision over turned. After she was released from the county jail, he flew off to CA and she has not seen her son since. He was 8-years old at the time (His 8-years-old picture is attached). He is now 14-years-old. His date of birth is June 26, 1993 and was born in Portsmouth, Va.
Ms. Lewis had contacted the military bases as well as the judge advocate offices to ask them to help her find her son. Mr. Arthur Lincoln, an attorney who was handling her case at Ft. Meade Army Base in
Maryland, informed her that they had trouble locating him because of the
September 11th bombing of the
Pentagon that took place in 2001.
Approximately a year later she found out that her ex-husband was out of the military and had returned to his hometown in Forest, Ms. She knew there was and is only
one elementary school in Forest, Ms. So she contacted the school after obtaining the number from information. She spoke to Mrs. Randy Stewart, the principal, and she was informed that there was a Brandon Butler in the school at her child's age. However, Principal Stewart would not pull him out of class because there was no record of her as his mother on the emergency card or on any other information provided to the school. However, she did take Ms. Lewis' cell phone number and said that if the family was aware of a Pamela Lewis she would give it to them. In the meantime, Pamela Lewis had contacted the Judge advocate office once again and he faxed a letter to the school and the local police station in regards to her on her behalf. He was unable to assist her any further because she was no longer in the military or considered a dependent of a military due to the finalization of the divorce.
People, this is not the first time Elvis Butler has kept a child away from his mother. He was previously married to Rachel Denise Butler and had a child by that marriage. They got a divorced when his son Marcel Xavier Butler was 6-months old. He never had full-custody of the child. Marcel Butler has not seen or heard from his mother since he was 6-months and he is presently 16-years of age.
Ms. Lewis is trying to locate her son and gain full custody of my son as she tries to re-establish herself in Georgia after losing a home due to Hurricane Katrina. Will you help Ms. Lewis to locate her son? As mentioned earlier, she was displaced from Harvey, La. due to Hurricane Katrina and is presently financially unstable in the State of Georgia. She has no source of income at this present time or a permanent place to live. She was informed by Mr. Jamie Alperti, her attorney, that he will not proceed with the custody until she has obtained stable housing. If you have any additional information, please contact Mr. Jamie Aliperti via email at
