Right-handed pitcher Curt Schilling now has three World Series rings in his collection. He's won two with Boston and one with Arizona. Schilling announced his retirement on March 23, 2009.

Curt Schilling announced his retirement from baseball on Monday, confirming what many had thought for months. There has been much debate as to his merits for enshrinement at the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY. Here at FBHOF.com, we have no doubt that the one who brought us the famous "mystique and aura" quote deserves recognition in the Fantasy Baseball Hall of Fame.

Schilling is also a member of the 1998 Fantasy All Star team, the first and only time during the fantasy era that all starting pitchers were members of the Fantasy Baseball Hall of Fame.
Among pitchers from 1950-2008, Schilling ranks 12th, behind Don Drysdale and ahead of Gaylord Perry.

A three time 20 game winner that relied on his ability to make his pitches miss bats. He struck out 290 or more batters four times and held his ERA to 3.75 or better in nine of ten years between 1996 and 2004. His top year was 2002: 23 W, 0.97 WHIP, 3.23 ERA, and 316 K’s. Schilling was a Top-5 pitcher six times.Schilling finishes his career as the 5th best pitcher in the fantasy era, garnering 72.6 FBHOF points behind only Randy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Roger Clemens, and Pedro Martinez.
