MMORPG? What the Sock?

That’s right folks. Red Sox clutch pitcher Curt Schilling is thinking about making his own MMORPG. The two-time World Series Champion has made his mind to retire after the ‘08 season, and already has plans ahead after his retirement. Schilling, to surprise all, is actually a gamer himself. It is quite shocking for a lot of people to know this but he actually has a wide experience in multiple MMO’s. Now that’s not to say he has experience to make one, but funding one is definitely not a question for him. He also has two of his partners who will work aside him, best-selling fantasy book author Robert Salvatore and comic book and action figure creator Todd MacFarlan.
Low and behold, I happen to be a huge Red Sox fan and MMO fan. This is very interesting to hear and I’m actually looking forward to what an actual professional athlete can come up with in the gaming industry. I noticed many have shown interest in what Schilling can be capable of but I guess we will all have to wait and see for ourselves after the ‘08 season. I guess to many of New England’s fanbase, he doesn’t retire if you’re a MMO player :P.
