Cycling is a Lot of Fun!

I took up cycling after talking to my brother and father about riding the bike. I was close to 280 lbs most of which I put on in three short years. As you can imagine, it probably would have killed me to jog, but the cycling seemed like a feasible alternative. Besides I always suffered from shin splints when I jogged. So, I went off to buy myself a bicycle and started to ride. We have lots of hills around our place, so it ride up the hill and fly down the hill. For some dumb reason I have to disable my brakes. I do not know why I do it, is it suicidal? I don't know. At my age you would think that I would want my brakes to be functional and working. I enjoyed cycling, I was hooked. I ride my bike every opportunity I can. My two teenage step-children do not enjoy riding the bicycle, so all my riding is alone.
After 4 years my weight is way down, my blood pressure is down and I feel great. Even though I probably do not have to ride the bike anymore, I do it because I enjoy it. Next year I plan on going on some cycling marathons. Or some long rides. Visit my site at Cycling is Good Exercise and Good on Gas and a Lot of Fun
