All Mustang seats are made by hand in the USA at the Three Rivers, MA production facility. Mustangs corporate offices are located in Terryville, CT less than an hour from the factory. Every single step in the process is carefully managed by just a few professional seat builders who have been trained in the trade of seat building. As Al (President of Mustang) said many times, “You can not hire a seat builder. They are made.” Step 1: The Seat Pan The process starts with a 1/2″ Fiberglass mold which is then coated with a gel coat spray and then set to the side to dry. When the gel coat has cured, the mold is sent to the chopping department where fiberglass is sprayed onto the gel coat. When the proper consistency has been achieved, the mold is taken to a bench where resin and a catalyst is rolled out, completing the fiberglass process. Before the fiberglass has a chance to dry fully the mold is taken to the cutter, who trims down the edges and makes the pan workable. After the seat hardens, the very rudimentary fiberglass seat pan is separated from the mold. Step 2: The Finishing Department Once the seat pan as been made it is taken to the finishing department where the flashing is sanded off, rivet holes drilled, automotive edge guard installed and brackets are attached. Although I am not one to ride in races, I certainly enjoy bike riding around the neighborhood! For me, it is the ideal way to get and stay fit, while enjoying time with my family. The problem is that it can be difficult when trying to bring your child along, as I have had this issue. It wasn• t until I did some research on what types of options I had as far as child seating I could attach to my bike, that I was finally able to enjoy my ride to the fullest extent. It was then that I ran into a Bobike Mini Bike Seat.
Manufactured by Kool Stop International, I proceeded into my search to figure out why this particular child bicycle seat surpassed my other options. As always, the safety of my child is always the most important factor but because of this up front baby child bike seat, I no longer needed to worry if my precious package was safe while taking a ride with me. This Bobike Mini Bike Seat allowed me the ability to see her all of the time because it is placed up front, near the handle bars. This alone was enough reason to make the purchase, which I did, and have been happy in my choice ever since. I also love the harness system because it is a three point seat belt. This made me feel even safer! Plus, the fact that the Bobike Mini Bike Seat has arm rests for my daughter• s added comfort.
Not only was the Bobike Mini Bike Seat better in comparison to the other seats I have tried in the past because of its clever positioning on the front, but my daughter was able to enjoy the ride because of its comfortable harness. The padding on the Bobike Mini Bike Seat is not only ideal for comfortable but so simple to clean. You can easily remove the pads and throw them in the wash! Every parent can appreciate this!
Just when you though it couldn• t get any better, the Bobike Mini Bike Seat did not cost any unreasonable amounts of money! Let• s be fair in saying that price is always a concern. While other rear child bicycle seats can cost 0, and trailers to pull your child in can cost around 0 or more, you seriously cannot go wrong with this price.
You would think that installing the actual Bobike Mini Bike Seat would be difficult, but I had no problem whatsoever. We also didn• t need to deal with the inconvenience of having to find the right bike to use it with because it fits most models.
The truth is, us parents need to stick together and when we find such a valuable product such as the Bobike Mini Bike Seat, it is important that we pass this information along! I am completely happy with the Bobike Mini Bike Seat and would highly recommend it to other parents who enjoy bike riding, yet fear for their child• s safety with using rear child seats. Now I am fully prepared for the summer time and all the bike trips we have planned out with our friends. Enjoy family, enjoy friends, there is nothing like this time we spend together in the beautiful outdoors!
