Senator Barack Obama has won the vote as the children's choice for the next President of the US. Wha? No more Nick splat? Nickelodeon has unveiled their new logo for the kid network, with a fairly understated and generic version.
President Cyma Zarghami said in a statement: “We wanted to clean it up and allow Nick to be the stamp on all of these channels… In asking ourselves if everything could live under the splat, we decided that the splat was dated. It just couldn’t be done in a streamlined way.”

creator Steve Hillenburg admits he never expected his animated sea-dwelling characters to become pop-culture phenomena.
Nickelodeon is celebrating the series' 10th anniversary with a marathon of special programming this weekend.
Hillenburg, a former marine biologist, told USA Today.
