The Green Party of the United States has voted former Georgia Member of Congress Cynthia McKinney as its 2008 and first woman and woman of colour presidential nominee. McKinney carried her historic political quest to the next level, asking New York City South Bronx native, Nuyorican (self-identified Black Puerto Rican) Rosa Clemente - a sister Afrodescendant of the Americas - to be her vice presidential running mate.
