Wife says A-Rod is a Wimp

Professional athletes often have a somewhat stoic demeanor, and unlike many other celebrities, they like to, and for the most part are able to, keep their personal lives private. Yankees star Alex Rodriquez is no different, but a recent interview with his wife Cynthia for the YES Network program "Yesterdays" has given new insight into what the baseball third baseman is actually like.

Would you think that an American League MVP would pass out at the birth of his first daughter? Well, neither did Cynthia Rodriguez. "As tough and big as he seems, he is real wimpy," Cynthia said in the interview.

Apparently A-Rod, gets a little queasy around doctors any medical situations. "I was like, not even having a baby, he was the one. The one nurse had a cold cloth on his head... and he is passed out on a couch," Cynthia said.

Luckily he wasn't present for the birth of his second child on April 21. Cynthia gave birth to a girl, and Rodriguez, arrived 10 minutes afterwards.

The interview will also cover how the couple met, and delve into Rodriquez's personal life, as far back as his childhood in Miami. The interview will air Wednesday at 11 p.m. Eastern.
