Here is another DIY Quick Tip . . .  When working on something that will face a harsh environment (like weather or salty sea air) or extreme application; it pays to go marine grade or heavy duty. In the north we have harsh winters with salted roads. Some of us have coastal access with salt in the air. Others have extreme use such as towing or off roading in warm weather. So you have a flat tire due to puncture, you can repair it yourself. Here is what you need: Flat tire plug kit (Rasp tool, split needle tool, plug material, and glue)-- About $6 at Wal-Mart Pan with water Chalk Pliers Razor blade Assuming you have removed the wheel, here is what to do: Visually look for the puncture-- it is usually a screw or nail Use the pan with water and rotate the tire and look for bubbles if needed Once you find the problem, circle it with the chalk...Read Full Story
