Often a judge just goes with the technical side of the law giving a woman custody without regard to the safety of the children or their desires as to which parent they truly want to live with. One such judge in West Virginia favors women and the men don't stand a chance in her courtroom. When a mother is a meth-head-pot smoking-whore, who beats and curses her children do you think this judge would give a damn? NO! She needs to be removed from the bench.
All children should have a right to a conference behind closed doors with either their lawyer or a guardian-ad-litem present. A judge who disallows this, as this judge does, has problems and her judgement needs to be questioned. She is not God, even though I am certain she is on a power trip of self-induced ignorance thinking she must have a crown on her head. No, she appears to be just another man-hater! A judge such as this should not be on the bench deciding custody battles. If she thinks it makes her look like the almighty when she won't even allow the father to speak in court, and the mother doesn't even show up when so ordered, yet she allows a telephone call to be representative of appearing this judge is a flaming idiot! How can anyone deny the voice of a child to be heard? When a child says, "I want a new mommy" and has nightmares, headaches, doesn't want to go to school, grinds teeth all night long,acts out in school because they fear they may be returned to an abusive mother, a psychological evaluation should be allowed in court to avoid catastrophy! If not, we might as well predict the future outcome for this child which will not be pretty. Sex, Drugs, Rock and Roll, Prison, Death! Is that enough for you judge?
The voice of innocence in this country is being ignored. And, yes, it would be wonderful if both parting parents would be desirous of putting their personal feelings aside to provide a mommy and a daddy for their children. The damage of the divorce is something you can't take back but it is something where positive structure can nurture and reverse the pain to provide for a happy life. I cannot understand why parents can't meet this resolve. I know and understand the faults of humankind. I know about basic human nature, limits of psychological abilities and the anger that often causes a parent to lose sight of the child's propritary needs.
