Mid Century Modern Turquoise Faux Aligator Stools. Set Of 4 By B. Brody Seating
This is a set of 4, turquoise faux alligator swivel high back stools manufactured by B. Brody Seating Company of Chicago. These were purchased in 1961, and we acquired them from the original owner as part of a California Contemporary ranch home sale in Denvers Deza Estates neighborhood. We moved in 2002 to MCM style home that doesn’t have a place for these and they have been in storage (indoor) since then. These are in 100% original condition, and show some minor signs of wear associated with a 50 year old item. The stools had been located in a northern facing kitchen and never received any direct sunlight. The upholstery is still in great condition, and the color is very vibrant. Overall I would rate these as Very Good.
They would make a great addition to any Mid Century Modern home.
Each stool is approx 43″ in height. The seat height is approx 30″. The seat diameter is approx 14″. The chrome foot ring is 12″ from the floor. And the chair base has a 16″ square footprint. Each stool weighs approx 22 pounds.
We have been collecting MCM items for over 30 years and have never seen another set like these with this type of upholstery. Due to the unique nature and condition of the stools I’m placing a reserve on them.
These will be expensive to ship due to the weight, and overall size. Ebay has limited options for shipping items like this, so I had to mark them as local pick-up. UPS will ship items this size, but charges what is called ‘dimensional
weight’ for packages of this size, and Ebay doesn’t have a convenient
way to select this option.
If the buyer cannot pick them up, the buyer can either make his own shipping arrangements, or pay actual packing and shipping charges quoted from our local UPS store to package, ship and insure the stools.
To make sure they arrive in the best condition, they will be sent in individual boxes if sent UPS.
If the buyer is within 500 driving miles of our location, I will consider delivering these for $200.
Due to the difficulty of shipping furniture type items, I will not accept returns on these. Fell free to ask questions before you bid.
