For sale is an original fiberglass Eames shell chair made by Herman Miller. It is all original and is date-stamped August 2, 1957 next to the original Herman Miller sticker (see photo). The color of this chair is a butter yellow and it has fiberglass flecks throughout. The base is the H-base in a matte black finish, with chrome feet. The shell is in excellent condition with some signs of use such as scuffs and scratches on the edges, but no cracks. The base has a few scuffs and scrapes, but is in otherwise great condition. Someone has written “EMU” on the bottom with magic marker, which shows only when you look at the bottom. It can not be seen from above and will probably come off with some rubbing alcohol. The four shock mounts are a little dry and cracked, but are in good shape and are not a problem at all. There is very little dimpling on the shell from the shock mounts. All in all, this is a rare chair in very good condition that would be perfect for anyone who appreciates mid century modern decor.
I am offering this chair for $220 and have included a Best Offer option.  I accept PayPal and request payment upon receipt of invoice.  Shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.  I would be happy to work with your chosen shipper, but payment and arrangements must be made by the buyer directly with the shipper.  The only exception is Greyhound Package Express.  The cost for shipping by Greyhound will be the estimated cost to ship, plus $25 for professional packing.  If you choose this option, I would calculate the cost and add this to the invoice.  Of course, local pick up is welcome at no charge.
