In the December issue of Anime Insider, the people unamiously named IchiKuya II the anime match of the year 2008. Ichigo fought for the sake of Rukia, while Byakuya fought for the pride of the Soul Society. Ichigo went into the match realizing that the sword alone will beat Byakuya, while Byakuya went in the battle fighting for the integrity of the Soul Society and his 11 colleauges, who were insulted physically and mentally at the hands of Ichigo’s posse. It was a match, although it was made...Read Full Story

Other Publishers to Sony: DROP THE DARN PRICE ON THE PS3!

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace4.com
Sony is in a precarious position with the pricing structure for its flagship gaming console, the PlayStation 3. On the one hand, the Japanese electronics giant is taking a beating across many of its divisions as part of the global economic climate. That problem could be aggravated if Sony were to cut the PS3’s price tag, which currently stands at $399 for the 80GB model and $499 for the 160GB SKU.   Source: GameSpot news article “Publishers push for PS3 price cut,” March 16, 2009   Now, I...Read Full Story

Victors vs. Dissenters: LXXXIV and LXXXV

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace4.com
There are many differences between Turkey Day Classic Numbero LXXXIV and Turkey Day Classic Numbero LXXXV. Tuskegee won Numbero LXXXIV. Alabama State won Numbero LXXXV. Numbero LXXXIV was a shootout. Numbero LXXXV ended in regulation. Numbero LXXXIV was an all-front game. Numbero LXXXV was a defensive game. Me and Joe, as Bama State fans, were the Dissenters after Numbero LXXXIV. Now Nora, who is the mother of our older brother Jeff’s two sons, is the Dissenter, as she was born in Tuskegee...Read Full Story

I have not made a 9/11 rememberance post since two years ago, but I have decided to make one. And I was was also wearing a style that I always had a strong dislike for, School Uniforms. One month...Read Full Story

Recession Fighting or Revenge?

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace4.com
I’m not sure if you have heard the news, but this is downright shocking to me. Sony apparently is charging game publishers 16 cents for every gig we download on the PlayStation Network. So what do I think? I’ll tell you what I think! Here’s another example of Big Dumb Sony trying to nickel-and-dime game that are not out yet.  And for those who think that Sony is just weeding out the breadmakers from the lemons? I think that up for us, the gamers, to decide that. 16 cents a download might be...Read Full Story

Dragon Warrior Revisited

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace3.com
After my 9/11 post, I wanted to lighten the mood around here. It is very hard to write that post. 9/11 was truly a tragic day, but life goes on. In 1994, Enix Corp. released a little game called Dragon Warrior IV. That was the one game that is still being talked about. The Dragon Warrior series, now know by its Japanese name Dragon Quest, is one of the game that put the big green lower case e on the gaming industry map. There were a few other games that gained huge success, but Dragon Warrior...Read Full Story

Okay, This is Nuts…

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace4.com
Imagine this, you are logging on to your MMORPG account only to find out that your character has been deleted and that the one who deleted it is your own wife? Strange, but true. According to Yahoo News via Kotaku, a Japanese woman got so ticked off with her hubby that she logged in to his Maple Story account and deleted his character! 12 hours ago, Alafista.com, one of the many otaku’s paradises scattered all around the Net, reported the story to its readers, and the comments flooded in...Read Full Story

To Bash or Not to Bash

By Ricky G. Davis on  From dailyricky.freehyperspace4.com
Kaz Hirai, the SCEA chairman, is a misguided soul. He still believes that as gamers, we will see the true power of the PS3 in the long run. Hirai went on to state that the Xbox 360 ‘lacked longevity.’ But the bashing continued from there. And with the Xbox - again, I can’t come up with one word to fit. You need a word that describes something that lacks longevity,” said Hirai. “Last time I checked, they’ve never had a console that’s been on the market for more than four or five years and we...Read Full Story
