Lopez Tonight Monday and
George had a little surprise for the
Runaways star. Much to the delight of 16-year-old Fanning, the talk show host brought out celebrity tattoo artist
Kat Von D to take her backstage for a "tattoo related gift."

Kat soon went to work on Dakota and unveiled a colorfol temporary pen drawing of a cherry bomb in honor of her work on
The Runaways. Not only did Dakota's age prevent her from getting anything permanent. It turns out she has a sticky agreement with her mom.
"When I was like 11, she made me sign a contract and it says 'I will not ever get a tattoo,'" she told George. "And there's a little X and a line and I had to sign my name."
Since the temporary tat will soon wash away, Kat gave Dakota another gift to go along with it. The actress gasped as she accepted a framed piece of original artwork that repeated the cherry bomb motif along with a scroll that says "Dakota." Mom can't get upset about that, right?
