Dan Orlovsky didn't want to be Detroit's backup quarterback. Now he's the backup for the Houston Texans. Orlovsky, who said he wanted to compete for a starting job rather than be a backup to Daunte Culpepper, signed Sunday to play behind Matt Schaub. The Texans needed a backup after trading Sage Rosenfels to the Vikings for a fourth-round draft pick Friday. Orlovsky said a big reason he chose Houston was to have an opportunity to work with coach Gary Kubiak, a former quarterback. "I feel... Read Full Story
Dan Orlovsky says he's pretty confident free agency will be better for him than accepting an offer to be a backup quarterback for the Detroit Lions. Orlovsky said Monday in a telephone interview with the Associated Press he plans to test the market because he wants to compete for a job instead of being relegated to reserve status behind Daunte Culpepper. You can still get four quarters out of a dollar. Read Full Story
