Image by Getty Images via Daylife In last week’s Fantasy Focus, I announced the 2009 All-Underappreciated Team. This week we shift gears, as I present to you the All-Overappreciated Team: Catcher – Russell Martin Martin was the No. 1 drafted catcher in most leagues this year, but has failed to live up to those expectations. The 26-year-old is currently on pace to set career lows in HR (five), RBI (48), and batting average (.260). His .304 BABIP doesn’t suggest any poor luck, and he’s only collected 19 extra-base hits all season. Martin is having a terrible season, and is showing no signs of turning ... Read Full Story

However, the Giants currently have pitching prospects Madison Bumgarner and Tim Alderson at ... Read Full Story

Second baseman Dan Uggla won his arbitration case against the Florida Marlins on Thursday and was awarded $5.35 million. Arbitrators Richard Bloch, Fredric Horowitz and Steven Wolf made the decision one day after hearing the case. The Marlins had offered $4.4 million. Uggla hit .260 with 32 homers and 92 RBIs last year, his third straight season of 27 or more homers and 88 or more RBIs. Eligible for arbitration for the first time, he made $417,000 in 2008. Uggla was the third player to go to a hearing this year. Washington Nationals pitcher Shawn Hill won $775,000 and All-Star catcher Dioner Navarro lost ... Read Full Story

It could be days -- even hours -- before Dan Uggla, Matt Lindstrom and Renyel Pinto are Marlins no more. Josh Johnson, on the other hand, could still be looking at years, though that prospect remains slim.
