Get The Look: Dania Ramirez at Byron &Tracey

This is one of my favorite hairstyles to recreate. Braids are incredible sophisticated, fun and hot right now. Dania Ramirez tried this look on for an event at the Byron & Tracey Salon in Beverly Hills this past May. The shindig was hosted by Express and Covergirl. Alizé kept the drinks flowing (for the above-21 misses) all day long, while the ladies gushed over the latest in trends.

I wasn't in love with Dania's über-fresh face, but it worked wonderfully with her updated milkmaid braided halo. Its the perfect summer style or naturals or transitioning ladies.

Darcy's Bontanicals Madagascar Vanilla Styling Cremé is perfect for achieve this look. Its a very creamy emulsion of palm oil, vanilla bean extract and beeswax. Apply this to your wet hair and blowdry with a comb attachment.

Once the hair is smooth and fairly straight, make a small part on the side of your head. This part should be about 1 1/2 inches long, headed in the direction the crown.

Smooth the hair out, start the braid from the front of the scalp and cornrow all around the head in the shape of a circle.
Once the hair reaches back towards the original part, use a dime size amount of the Organic Coconut and Aloe Moisture pudding to reduce friction.Take the ends, braid all the way until the ends of the hair.

Take the tail of the braid and pin along the shape of the original braid. Use the Coconut Passion Fruit Pomade or the Coconut and Aloe Moisture Pudding to combat frizzies throughout the week. Tie down with a silk scarf to keep style fresh.
Before heading out in the morning, rub a bit of the Juicy Peach Kernel Nectar onto the hair.
