The Orioles Get The Best of Former Teammate, Daniel Cabrera...

By The Oriole Post on  From oriolepost.blogspot.com
The Baltimore Orioles today faced an old friend down in Fort Lauderdale today, and like the old cliches goes -- the more things change, the more they stay the same. In the end, the Orioles downed the Washington Nationals, 6-2, as they beat their former compadre and had a little fun with him too on the bases. Cabrera -- a frustrating presence to Oriole fans over the years -- went two inning and gave up a run. He looked shaky on the mound as he walked two and struck out two; furthermore, the...Read Full Story

Daniel Cabrera was happy with the way he pitched Thursday for the Washington Nationals in a 6-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves. It was his hitting that made him giddy.Cabrera, who struck out 14 times with the Baltimore Orioles over the past five seasons, singled to right in his first spring training at-bat with Washington. The right-hander sent the ball into right field with an awkward swing and almost fell as he loped to first base. By The Oriole Post on  From oriolepost.blogspot.com
Is Daniel Cabrera just a few hours away from being an ex-Oriole? Over the past several years, despite his physical skills and "potential", the tall-righty has not gotten *it* together in umpteen major league seasons. Now, it may look like Daniel might be dealt, or at least non-tendered. Well, here's this from Roch Kubatko from his "School of Roch" blog...This may come as a surprise to a lot of folks, but a few teams have expressed interest in Orioles pitcher Daniel Cabrera at these meetings...Read Full Story

The Rundown; B-Rob; 1983 World Series Reunion; Quick Hits...

By The Oriole Post on  From oriolepost.blogspot.com
I have not done in this while, but let's see what some of the media and other bloggers are saying about the Birds...Ben of Oriole Central was able to get a major interview this week with Brian Roberts. Although he does not ask anything about the trade rumors, you do get a lot of out of him and he also mentions his bracelets that he has on sale for charity. Anyhow, our second baseman has a video blog on MASN Sports and in his latest post, he talks about his at-bat music, and the second half of...Read Full Story
