Daniella Alonso: My Generation

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
The show is about a group of high school kids who decide to document their senior year. Then 10 years later the kids who are now adults just want to catch up on where they are in their lives and what ended up happening.  The way the show is shot is kind of interesting because we go back and forth between 2000 and 2010 and all the years in between. We tell the stories of what happens in their lives, but also we incorporate real life, historical events.  One of the characters was going to be a...Read Full Story

Daniella Alonso: Top Five NYC Spots

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
1) The Meadow in Central Park. Not even the Meadow, all of Central Park.  There are so many little nooks and crannies in Central Park, I remember just hanging out with all my friends. 2) Grays Papaya on 72nd Street. The best hot dogs in all of New York. 3) St. Marks Street. I got my tattoo there. There are a lot of cool restaurants like Dojos, which I’m obsessed with. 4) I love the area of Broadway between Halston and Canal, that whole little strip. That’s where I shop, that’s where I hang...Read Full Story

Daniella Alonso: Rapid Fire

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
In Rapid Fire, we ask each Girl to finish the beginning of a sentence we provide. They will have only mere milliseconds to provide a response, so these answers will come straight from their unconscious, unencumbered by oppressive societal conventions and the insidious forces of excessive politeness. Enjoy Daniella Alonso. My motto is… be happy. I can’t stand it when… they run out of my favorite dessert. Very few people know that I… like to sing. Hollywood is… a sign. I’m inspired by… funny...Read Full Story

“I’ve never screamed so hard as when I found out I got the part” says Daniella Alonso of her new role as Brenda on ABC’s My Generation, and she has good reason to rejoice. The show’s unique flashback structure, along with an extensive billboard campaign, have made it one of the notable new shows of the season. She’s done stints on Friday Night Lights and One...Read Full Story

Daniella Alonso: Interesting First Impression

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
I went in to meet with this huge casting director. I was so excited to meet her. I loved all her work. I got all dressed up. I had a couple of auditions that day so I was in New York where you have to load everything into your purse and do a quick change on the subway. I had these things on called cutlets, which are added cleavage. I go to shake her hand and say “Hi, it’s so nice to meet you.  I’m Daniella.” But as soon as I go to shake her hand, my cutlet falls on the floor right between us...Read Full Story

Daniella Alonso: Good Girl – Most Of The Time

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
I was raised by like my grandfather, my grandmother and my great grandmother, who had a lot of old school values and morals. I was very sheltered and grew up with a lot of love. I was a good girl and they trusted me. I really didn’t have a curfew, I just knew to be back by a certain time because I didn’t want them to worry.  I know, very dorky.  Out of all of my friends I was the one who didn’t have any rules because they knew that I would give myself my own rules. The only thing my...Read Full Story

Daniella Alonso: Sweet Sweet Snoop Dogg

By girl2watch on  From girl2watch.com
He’s so sweet and so caring. Every time I met him he was very well meaning and like, “Hey baby doll, how are you?”  And just super super sweet. I remember we were shooting this one scene at like three in the morning and there were a lot of like extras and he was just really concerned with how everyone was doing, if everyone was warm.  He was very caring and really a kind person. Just a sweetheart. He was really really sweet. Related posts:Daniella Alonso: My Generation Daniella Alonso: Top...Read Full Story
