With all of the March Madness games over the weekend the best play still came from the NBA. It was Danilo Gallinari who had what will surely be the assist of the year (if that award exists.) Tests on Tuesday revealed the chip fracture in his left foot didn’t actually occur Monday night when he rolled his ankle in a game against Houston.

The Denver Nuggets are close to signing forward Danilo Gallinari to a long-term contract, a league source confirmed this morning.
The contract would be for four years, around $42 million total, the source told The Denver Post.
Gallinari posted a season-high 37 points against his former team, the Knicks, in Saturday night’s 119-114 double-overtime win.
