1. Eric Berry Tennessee Berry is a bawl hawk who can hit. He is being compared to Ed Reed. Look for him to be a very high pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. 2. Taylor Mays USC Mays is a strong hitting safety. He can play both of the safety positions in the 2010 NFL Season. 3. Joe Haden Florida Haden is a great athlete from an even better program. 4. Trevard Lindley Kentucky 5. Ras-I Dowling UVA 6. Walter Thurmond III Oregon 7. Reshad Jones Georgia 8. Javier Arenas Alabama 9. Crezdon Butler Clemson 10. Earl Thomas Texas Read Full Story

1. Brandon Spikes Florida Brandon Spikes is a beast in the middle. Look for him to be an immediate impact in the 2010 NFL Season. 2. Sean Weatherspoon Missouri The top rated outside linebacker in the 2010 NFL Draft. 3. Roland McClain Alabama An all around player in the middle. Look for McClain to be a contributor right away. 4. Travis Lewis Oklahoma Lewis is just a Redshirt Sophomore. He most likely will go back to school but will be a first round pick if he leaves. 5. Sean Lee Penn State Once again Penn State has a good LB like Connor and Paul ... Read Full Story

I don’t consider myself an expert on the NFL Draft, but I am all jazzed up for Saturday and Sunday (even though if the Eagles don’t end up with Moreno, Boldin or Wells, I’m going to be upset) and ESPN made a NFL Draft Machine , which means I’m going to mess around with it. I’ve kept up with all the rumors, did some quick research on team needs, and here is the way I think the first round will play out. Note that this not how I would draft (I think Stafford and the USC linebackers Cushing and Matthews are going to be ... Read Full Story

November 28, 2009 -- Run, pass, catch. Darren McFadden did it all at Arkansas. Heck, he even returned kicks. And he did everything well. So impressed were the...

The college football season is prepping for its conference championships and bowl game announcements, making it a good time to for a mock draft update.  The hardest part of doing a mock this time of year is determining who is and is not coming back, which means we project and could see a larger than usual number of underclassmen declare in light of a possible rookie wage scale in 2011.  This number of declarations could especially impact...

Earlier in the NFL season I wrote a piece about how JaMarcus Russell will end up as one of the biggest busts in history, and some readers maligned me for it. Everybody has their own opinion, and Russell’s performance thus far has only been in my favor (the guy was benched against the Chiefs today...yes, the Chiefs ).   But now I want to look at another Oakland Raider who has fallen on hard times: Darren McFadden. And before I get into it, I...

Here is a question that has bothered me: Does Raider runningback, Darren McFadden, have what it takes to be the next great runningback? When the Raiders selected McFadden with the fourth overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, scouts had compared McFadden to Marshall Faulk. In this era of the NFL (1983-present), that is about the highest honor a running back can get with few exceptions. McFadden showed Raider fans a glimpse of his potential...

by R.J. WhiteFiled under: NFL Injury ReportYou often here about adding insult to injury, but this time around, Darren McFadden has added injury to insult. One day after thoroughly embarrassing himself and his fantasy owners (most of whom started the Oakland RB against the putrid Houston run defense) by "rushing" for -3 yards in Sunday's game, McFadden will now reportedly undergo surgery on his right knee to fix a torn meniscus, according to...
