It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Spy Kids, but that’s about to change as director Robert Rodriguez is gearing up for a reboot of the popular franchise.

We’ve got a new batch of kids to meet in the new film, with Jessica Alba and Joel McHale to boot.

The most interesting twist, though, may be that we’ll once again get to see the original main characters, Carmen and Juni Cortez (Alexa Vega and Daryl Sabara)…and they’re all grown up.

In 2001′s original “Spy Kids” movie, little Carmen and Juni were oblivious to the fact that their seemingly normal parents (portrayed by Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino) were actually members of the Organization of Super Spies. They eventually discovered the truth and soon became members of the OSS too.

In “Spy Kids: All the Time in the World”, which hits theaters this summer, Carmen and Juni are still with the OSS and give the new kids, Rebecca (Rowan Blanchard) and Cecil (Mason Cook), some tips and gadgets as they battle the evil Timekeeper.

Since the last “Spy Kids” movie in 2003, Daryl Sabara has appeared in episodes of Weeds and Criminal Minds. He’s also set to play a big part in the upcoming sci-fi flick “John Carter of Mars”.

Alexa Vega starred in “Repo! The Genetic Opera” alongside Paris Hilton, and this year she was the lead in the comedy film “From Prada to Nada” opposite Camilla Belle and Wilmer Valderrama. She also recently married producer Sean Covel.

“Spy Kids: All the Time in the World” opens on August 19.
