David Alan Grier Voted Off 'Dancing With the Stars'

Last night's Dancing With the Stars results show ended with a surprising elimination as comedian David Alan Grier and partner Kym Johnson were sent home.

Football legend Lawrence Taylor and partner Edyta Sliwinska completed the bottom two Tuesday night, and even after a dance off --  where Grier's Viennese Waltz outperformed Taylor's Paso Doble -- viewers voted to send Grier home.

The studio audience was shocked, even gasping when the results were announced. Grier also seemed dissappointed, he told OK! Magazine:
[I felt] kind of disappointed. I really felt like we had more to give -- but its' a dance show. We're not going to cure cancer and I don't think we'll heal any babies with this show. It is what it is but you put a lot into it."
Although Grier did put a lot into his dancing, he also lost a lot from it, mainly weight. The star reportedly lost nearly 28 pounds, "My biggest disappointment is I did not lose 30 pounds," he told the magazine. "I was going to power through and chew some gum and smoke some cigarettes to get those pounds down."

Now that Dancing is done Grier's got a lot on his plate. He'll return to filming his Comedy Central show Chocolate News and he's currently writing a book about his life titled Barack Like Me. He also appropriately stars in the movie Dance Flick, set for release on May 22, in which he plays an evil 1,000-pound dancing henchman.

Still, Grier says he'll have trouble coping with his elimination, telling OK! he'll have to:
Seek counseling, go back to my therapist, get back on the meds and stop harassing Kym. I used to show up at all hours, 'Kym, can you rehearse?' 'David, go away!' You never want to hear that -- 'You're frightening me.'"
Grier, like always, was only joking, he is after all a comedian.
