As we suggested here earlier this month, David Byrne (Talking Heads) and Brian Eno are self-releasing their new album, Everything That Happens Will Happen Today , their first in 27 years.  It will be available August 18 exclusively through EverythingThatHappens.com.  A free "tbd" download track will be found on the site beginning August 4.  Also, "Happens" will be available as an enhanced CD at some point.  This release is their follow-up to their 1981 landmark "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts" (support MNN, purchase a copy, HERE ) and is said to be heavy on Byrne's lyrics/vocals. A series of essays in the old fashioned sense, as Johnson would have it "A loose sally of the mind; an irregular undigested piece; not a regularly and orderly composition." not much in the way of rigorous argument but some nice travel writing provides a pleasantly relaxed trip around some cities in the early 21st century. Maybe not enough about cycling for my liking.

Radio David Byrne. The more I listen to his sets the more I enjoy them (and I really enjoyed Bicycle Diaries as well.) He has a new set up every month, worth coming back to regularly.
