Open Letter To Heidemarie Schnitzer!

Dear Heidi Marie:

Yesterday I spent several hours in the company of my husband and daughter, getting our lovely home ready for Christmas. In the spirit of this special time, I have a few thoughts I need to share with you. I really want you to understand this message comes to you without malice or any hidden agendas.

When my daughter arrived yesterday, she greeted me with a hug; we hugged again when she left. She is 45 now and we have shared a life-time of hugs. David Caruso has never hugged me, nor do I ever expect him to do so.

This morning my husband crawled into my bed, wrapped his loving arms around me,and bussed the back of my neck. David Caruso will never do that.
Later in the day as I was sitting at this computer, hubby brought me a cup of coffee in a Christmas mug. David Caruso will never do that either.

You no doubt feel lonely in a foreign land amongst people who might not like the way you look or sound. I hope you have some one to hug you and buss you on the back of the neck. David Caruso will not. If there are people who will smile, laugh and converse with you these days, consider yourself truly blessed. David Caruso will not be one of them, though, and it is time for you to stop letting him have such power and control over you for it is he that determines your every action.

It is time for you now to focus on the holiday activities that lie ahead. Look forward with enthusiasm and energy to making the best Christmas you can for those around you. I am sure that is what David Caruso is doing for his loved ones. May you speak to your daughter via cell phone and get in touch with those who love you.

During the rest of this year and for 2009, I pray for a return of rational behavior and normalcy for you. Hopefully this will lead to a reunion with your family. Finally, may love and joy come to you and yours, now and forever.
