While David Caruso and Co. are MIA online, we assume they have graced Las Vegas CES 2010 with their presence. We hope someone remembers to offer a toast in honor of David's birthday before they call it a day. May we suggest the clean-up of those FB and MS sites soon. We're virtually certain both are clogged with well wishes for The Birthday Boy. We can envision someone impersonating Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday, Mr. Caruso". Enjoy, David! ******************************* When we started this blog, we felt it mandatory to require approval before any comment was posted. After the debacle we witnessed with Vipix, Janet ... With just a cursory glance at Monday's ratings, we noted, and must mention that, aside from the Fiesta Bowl, the highest rated show that night was Two and a Half Men. Since most of the usual high ranking shows had repeats, CSI Miami's 10 million was on a par with that situation. The rest of CBS's schedule fell into their usual pattern, with the slight exception of Charlie Sheen's sitcom. We are somewhat perplexed, yet convinced, that the reason is nothing more than a by-product of Sheen's current domestic problems. Sad, if true. What else would explain an aged sitcom garnering ratings with a ... Read Full Story

Redundancy notwithstanding, we've opted to bring comments from our previous piece front and center here. While readership of comments has improved, a majority of visitors do not take the time to see these are not the illiterate yammerings to be found throughout the internet community. The enhancement, coherence and success of this blog is due in huge measure to the ongoing support of our commenters. We are aware we are visited. Whether our pieces and, more importantly, readers comments, are read and understood or dismissed as petulant children, by DC, AD, et al, remain open to question. E.G: mjszud said... If you missed the CSI Miami Season 8 Premiere episode, "Out of Time", tonight's the time to catch up, as it is repeated on CBS before new episodes begin again next week. This is the episode, well received by viewers, which took us back to the crime's lab beginning twelve years earlier, for Horatio (David Caruso), Eric (Adam Rodriguez) and Calleigh (Emily Procter), while somewhat putting to bed the cliffhanger from Season 7. Well worth a second look for us; a definite 'must see' for those who missed it the first time. These three actors all projected a younger, more relaxed demeanor in the ... Read Full Story

On the off chance that a fan with limited online access or time may not have noticed, David Caruso's countenance, aka Horatio Caine, provides one of the most prolific subjects of sketchers on the internet. Nearly every such artist, in the process of practicing or perfecting his/her craft, has used David in one or more of their renderings. The two shown above are more examples on the same theme.

"Dramatic, masculine and a bit quirky." or "It’s horrendous. On par with Ptolemy for ‘toff’ factor but doesn’t sound one half as pleasant."Horatio, or it's various derivatives, doesn't make it into the Top 100 Baby Names in any year. Even though Shakespeare and Alger have somewhat legitimatized the name, and David Caruso has mainstreamed it, still Horatio remains rather obscure and seldom used,

We knew Eric Delko (Adam Rodriguez) would be around for 10 episodes during this 8th "CSI Miami" season. We like Eric. He plays well off Horatio (David Caruso), trades barbs and pettiness with Ryan (Jonathan Togo) and teases with Natalia (Eva LaRue). For these reasons, we'd like to see more of him. However, if seeing more of Eric means a continuation of the boring mismash known as the Eric/

In the last new episode of "CSI Miami" until January, we viewed 'Delko for the Defense' tonight, a day later than the airing. Knowing how we assimilate the opinions of others, we steered clear of reviews, except those comments by Shelby in our previous post. There were refreshing scenes here and there, bringing the totality of the show above the mediocre range. Confusing opening scenes featured
