The first leg of the CSI Trilogy, "Bone Voyage", aired last night on "CSI Miami". The second installment will be shown tomorrow night on "CSI NY", to be followed by the conclusion on "CSI LV" Thursday. "Bone Voyage" served quite well as both a stand-alone and as part of a trilogy, and expect the same from the "CSI NY" segment due, we suspect, as a forethought to residual revenue (the three have residual contracts with three different networks). We found it a most entertaining episode. Barry... Read Full Story
Greg B., assistant to Ann Donahue, exlains the process, and problems, encountered in landing a helicoptor in the middle of Long Beach. Said 'coptor was bringing Dr. Ray Langston from Las Vegas to Miami, for his introduction in "Bone Voyage", the first leg of the trilogy running this week on all 3 of the CSI franchise shows. It's always in amazement as we read these blurbs to realize the depth of procedure involved in producing a very short scene. Below that article is one from November 3rd... Read Full Story
There is a suspicion, though not verified, that "Supernatural" originally intended to spoof their Thursday night competition. That would be "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI LV". However, while the video clip below is night shift criminal scene, we're guessing there was no way to impersonate any of "CSI" cast members to draw recognition from their audience. Therefore, we get the dark of night, but with Horatio Caine, the iconic characterization from David Caruso that is instantly accepted worldwide... Read Full Story
Fast National ratings for Monday, Nov. 9, 2009 "Dancing with the Stars" and ABC returned to the top of Monday's ratings with the World Series over, and "House" returned to FOX with its usual strong numbers in the 18-49 demographic. Elsewhere Monday, first leg of a three-part crossover gave "CSI: Miami" a boost, while the much-hyped threesome storyline on "Gossip Girl" didn't move the needle too much, at least in the overall numbers. "The Jay Leno Show," meanwhile, hit one of its lowest... Read Full Story
We are patient. Perhaps that's not quite accurate. We are generally very impatient. However, over those situations where control rests outside our jurisdiction, we struggle to maintain, realizing that not everyone prioritizes the same way. With this press release on Episode 9 of "CSI Miami", titled "Kill Clause", we find we will be meeting a mysterious woman from Jesse's past. Do we really care yet about Jesse's past? It's fairly safe to assume here we're not alone when we shout out a... Read Full Story
While we remain perpetually dismayed at the gullibility of American voters, the proof as seen in today's elections in many parts of the country, we move on to more lighthearted subjects. David Caruso maintained, when filming for Season 8 of "CSI Miami" began back in July, that this season would bring about a return to the basics of the first few seasons. Have we seen signs of this? In our opinion, David has been right on, at least in the episodes viewed to date. Monday's episode, "Hey, Dude... Read Full Story
What, you say? Don't they always do 24 episodes per season. Quite true, in the past, save the '07-'08 writer's strike season, but the winds have shifted in our struggling economy. In an apparent belt-tightening move, CBS ordered only 22 episodes of their standing, scripted shows this season, less for new offerings. Now, as the year progresses and the numbers appear to be holding, CBS has ordered two additional episodes for "CSI Miami", "NCIS" and "NCIS LA" (though we wonder how this one... Read Full Story
MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Two investigators bear down on a suspect, one speaking loudly, the other in hushed tones. One barely conceals a hot rage; the other gives off a cold fury. Actually, all three CSI s, including CSI: NY , are crisscrossing for the first time – "The triple crown," Fishburne... Read Full Story

" And who is the young mans idol? 'The team's shades-wearing leader Lieutenant Horatio Caine'! His mum said: 'We are so proud of him, he thinks Horatio is SO cool and he wants to be a policeman when he grows up! " When we first read the story linked below this morning, bringing it here to post, it was as an example of how the CSI franchise has impacted real life. In this case, a 12 year old and a stupid burglar. Before we had the chance to post, we got wind of a bit different spin on the... Read Full Story
