David Caruso: Our PC's Rite of Passage

RIP, HP. When the dreaded time comes, we're usually in a perpetual state of shock. Why? We knew, for a very long time. That knowledge became increasingly more apparent in recent weeks. Now, it has happened.

Are we grieving? Absolutely not. We are pissed. At ourselves for not making the final decision earlier; at anyone near and dear who didn't harass us into action before the inevitable became a reality.

Our pc is on its last, wobbly legs. Somewhere in the dark recesses we were aware this cpu wasn't going to be efficient once we began blogging. Too many applications, too many websites, too many vids, photos, etc. While we would be the last to make a formal admission, we knew this electronic marvel was intended to supplement our work experience at home, researching titles and legal issues, writing briefs and informative articles, communicating with our office and various court and governmental systems. It simply lacks the memory capacity for extensive online activity.

After listening to our inhouse haggling (between the 'experts', The HOH and The Puck) for several days, a suitable purchase was made only after our vocal threats to hand our credit card to the first electronic store were taken seriously. Over our protests, it was an online buy, which means another 4-7 day wait, never a pleasant situation to those surrounding this "get it done now" personality. An interesting side note: if you have a teen in your house, no matter his/her degree of expertise, DO NOT allow this person to choose your personal pc. Our adored first born would have had us wired with the most proficient, state-of-the-art system available, better for the gamers of the world. Not happening here, Sweetheart.

In the meantime, we are unable to copy and paste; any links must be typed manually. Opening various windows often takes 5-10 minutes. We can neither view nor transfer any videos, which gives David Caruso's MySpace page a rather sparse look. YouTube is out of the question.

The upside of this current crisis: it couldn't have occurred at a more opportune time. Our caseload is lower than normal, the rugrats occupy most of our days, and he who is the main subject of this blog, David Caruso, has been avoiding the media in recent weeks. So, as much as we have complained of no news, we pray DC stays undercover for another week, until we get the new system up and running. Bear with us, folks...............................................
The accompanying manipulated photo is a gift from Lindy. You can readily see how she occupies her time during our wee hours. Thanks, Lindy.
