David Caruso: CSI Miami Soap Style

Though we've mentioned it before, the none-too-subtle introduction of Eddie Cibrian, as Jesse Cardoza, the new hunk on "CSI Miami", has become big news on the internet gossip highway.

Each forum, rag sheet, and entertainment blog has its own spin.
His background, his former connection to Horatio (David Caruso), his arrival in Miami; all intended to heighten our anticipation. And, of course, his shirtless scene is getting a huge play.

This article from Buddy-TV explains a bit more. Yet, little has been mentioned that Khandi Alexander will guest as Dr. Alexx Woods in the first episode. Rory Cochrane, rumored to also be a guest, turned it down.

We've also heard no word about Dr. Tara Price (Megalyn Echikunwoke). Is she somehow reinstated after being led away in handcuffs near the end of Season 7? Or, will there be another new recruit, in the form of a Medical Examiner? We assume Kyle (Evan Ellingson) will still be working in the lab, but he hardly qualifies as a physician.

The hints continue to be sparingly tossed, seemingly at random, regarding the exit of one of the regulars, gathering momentum as the new fall season becomes a primary focus of fans and viewers.
