"Bad Seed", the CSI Miami episode to air next Monday, October 19th, appears to be the swan song for Eric and Calleigh. We expect the tears will flow freely on the various fansites prior to and at the conclusion. Both Adam Rodriguez and Khandi Alexander appear in this one. http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/2009/10/csi-miami-episode-805-bad-seed-promo.html http://spoilertv.blogspot.com/2009/10/csi-miami-episode-805-bad-seed-press.html Note: The Producer's blog, linked on our sidebar, has an... This was an article about Fox' show, "Lie to Me", that ran in the Tampa/St. Pete Times. The entertainment editor interviewed a retired FBI agent, supposedly an expert in non-verbal communications. Before they took on the primary subject of the piece, the agent insisted on expounding on his take of Horatio Caine and his notorious stance. Superior and apart? Horatio Caine? David Caruso? Nah, couldn't be, could it? It's only one paragraph, but worth a giggle or a guffaw, depending on one's... Read Full Story
We've said it before. We can't stress it enough. There is far more wisdom and wit in our comments from readers than will ever be found on our front page. Just a sampling and, David, these are not from your OMG fans: Re: Season 8 Premiere Video Preview: "May I be the first to say, "David Caruso for an Emmy, anyone?" My god! Without question, the BEST acting he's given us in series history. And in only two minutes!" Re: Sharon Harvey: "Is anyone experiencing a sense of deja vu here??? If I... Read Full Story
Are we the only cyber bully? We suppose from Sharon Harvey's feigned-innocence prospective we fit the title. We are intent on alerting all of David Caruso's fans of this insidious fraud, who has duped many by posing as David, signing his name to her own inarticulate emails, even faking a webcam interview with David. The latter was a classic "you can't fix stupid" example. Every confirmed Caruso fan, even a newbie like us, recognized the Q&A's from a 15 year old American Way Magazine... Read Full Story
Since when is free speech a stand-alone freedom, with no responsibility attached? Most cyber bullies believe it to be their God-given right. Most have yet to learn "there ain't no free lunch", and our society encourages this denial. We could extrapolate on that for days, but we'll confine our comments to this single topic. And, all our readers say, "thank you". Just ask Heidemarie Schnitzer, who believed exactly that. Many have asked why Heidemarie was allowed to remain online, and will... Read Full Story
Amy Kaye, a frequent contributor to the entertainment columns of The Miami Herald, recently died. In a tribute to her, Fred Grimm, who writes The Grimm Truth for the Herald, published a letter she wrote in 1994, after a Caruso-bashing Hal Boedeker column appeared. We thought it worth sharing. From Fred Grimm's column, The Grimm Truth, in the Miami Herald, November, 1994: "I read TV Critic Hal Boedeker's column Nov. 1 with amazement (No ifs, ands or butts left for Caruso). Simply put, why do... Read Full Story
If you didn't see Craig Ferguson Tuesday night, you must watch this one. We always prefer Craig to other late show hosts. This one is very good. David Caruso fans, all CSI Miami fans will love it. Even Les Moonves will love it. BTW, congratulations to Les and Julie on the birth of their son, Charlie. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/22/craig-ferguson-mocks-his_n_294603.html Read Full Story
An interview by Australia's The Age with Sunil Nayar, a producer and sometimes writer on "CSI Miami", covers its Cult Hero, Horatio Caine (David Caruso). We can't say we agree with everything he's said; however, we appreciate his perspective. His contention that the character of Horatio hasn't changed over the seven years of "CSI Miami" would bring dissenting opinions from most Horatio/David Caruso fans. Those changes, while perhaps not as absurd as the Calleigh and/or Eric changes, touch... Read Full Story
amaticrodriguez : "no need to lie to people. not cool." amaticrodriguez: "imitation is the best form of flattery. NOT impersonation." These are the latest Twitter comments from Adam Rodriguez. Adam's tweets prior to these two were all sweetness and fun. We could almost see the walls going up. And we wonder why celebrities like David Caruso (who's been there, done that) and Adam, who's relatively new to the games people play, are so protective of their privacy. How long will it be before many... Read Full Story
Why are we subjected to a plethora of 'reality' shows on television? Why are the comedies sophomoric? The dramas amateur night productions? You can ask Les Moonves, Jerry Bruckheimer, Ann Donahue or David Caruso, along with any others currently involved in television, or marketing, at any level. They know. If you didn't see Craig Ferguson last night on CBS Late, Late Show, you missed a great monologue. There's no question he's been picking our brain, by osmosis, no doubt, with perhaps a dash...
