According to Wikipedia: David Michael Hasselhoff, nicknamed "The Hoff", is a tall American actor, singer and songwriter who is best known for his lead roles on Knight Rider and Baywatch. He also crossed over to a successful music career, primarily in Austria, Switzerland, and Germany during the late 1980s.
David Hasselhoff is best known for the TV shows Baywatch and Knight Rider, but to Germans he's a pop hero. Twenty years after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Hasselhoff reminisces about his song that became a soundtrack for that historic moment, "Looking for Freedom."
