After Disney pulled the plug on The Lone Ranger , Johnny Depp seems to be moving forward with another project he's been attached to for quite awhile: a remake of the 1934 comedy-mystery film The Thin Man . The Thin Man was a 1934 film directed by W.S. Van Dyke about a ex detective and his wife who solve a murder mystery just for the fun of it.  I heard nothing but great things about the film and it even holds an 8.1 rating on IMDb, which is an impressive feat.  The film was so successful that it spawned five sequels, all directed by W.S. Source: Sony Insider David Koepp has come on board to write a draft of the screenplay for Men in Black III (AKA “MIIIB”). The script was written for the 3D movie by Etan Cohen. Barry Sonnenfeld will direct the movie and filming is due to start this fall and realeased on May 25, 2012.
