David Nalbandian has had surgery on his right hip and will be sidelined for four months. Nalbandian underwent surgery in Barcelona and will miss Argentina’s Davis Cup quarterfinal in July, as well as the remaining Grand Slam tournaments—the French Open, Wimbledon and the U.S. Open. David Nalbandian withdrew from the 2011 French Open after an illness hampered his recovery from a hernia operation and a muscle injury.
Nalbandian lost six kilograms after his injury in March and his comeback had been hit by a fever that interrupted his training.
His spokesman, Bernardo Ballero, commented that Nalbandian is “not right physically.”
