David Paterson
David Paterson is the new Governor of New York. He takes over for Eliot Spitzer on March 17th, 2008.
For a while there, Gov. David Paterson was on something of a tear when it came to the dysfunctional Senate Democrats, calling them "shameful" for threatening to boycott his join session speech (most ended up attending) and even comparing the Capitol to Iran.
But Paterson has ratcheted down the rhetoric after yesterday's do-nothing session. Instead, he's opting to take the high road in hopes of maintaining the already-delicate balance...
