  David Poole, the NASCAR’s  motorsports columnist for the Charlotte Observer, died Tuesday of a heart attack at 50. Charlotte Observer NASCAR reporter, David Poole, had a heart attack in his Stanfield home. Poole’s daughter called 911 and he was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Poole was in his 13th season covering NASCAR for the Observer.
