President George W. Bush, Karl Rove, the former White House political adviser, both appear to have helped orchestrate the firing of former New Mexico U.S. Attorney David Iglesias after receiving numerous complaints from Republican activists that Iglesias did not prosecute individuals for voter fraud before the 2006 midterm elections, according to a report on the U.S. Attorney purge released Monday by the Department of Justice's internal watchdog. The 356-page report is the culmination of an 18-month joint investigation by DOJ Inspector General Glenn Fine and the head of the agency's Office of Professional Responsibility H. Marshall Jarrett. Their report concluded that Iglesias's firing was ... Read Full Story

Raw Story has published a very provocative angle to the anthrax story. The repercussions may well be a major nail in BushCo's coffin. Some of the culprits include the lovely Paul Wolfowitz and H. Ross Perot, who at least made some attempts to address the issue. Please forward this to loved ones who served in the first Gulf War. Let them know their health and well being was deliberately compromised by our government. White Hou se memo exposes Rove knew of problems with anthrax vaccine Allen McDuffee, August 7, 2008 Rove said Gulf War Sy ndrome, vaccine political stumbling block The Department of Defense ... Chris Wallace It was a wonderful thing to read about Chris Wallace calling out MSNBC and the media in general for their blatant bias. Wallace made the remarks as part of a panel discussing media bias at the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles. The panel included Chris Wallace, Karl Rove, Howard Wolfson, and Fox VP John Moody. The panel took questions from a large group of journalists who predictably went after Karl Rove right from the jump. Does having Karl Rove as a commentator, given the whole testifying debacle, undermine the credibility of Fox News? John Moody: “Mr. Rove is a certified authority ... Read Full Story

I was just thinking the other day that I haven’t seen the Code Pinkos off their meds in a while, but they made a strong and ridiculous comeback on Tuesday. Former Bush aide Karl Rove (The Devil) was on a panel in San Francisco discussing the mortgage crisis, when all of a sudden one of the broads from Code Pink appears on stage and attempts to handcuff Rove. She screamed that she was making a “citizen’s arrest” of Karl for ‘”treason.” Security appeared seconds later and dragged the woman from the stage and booted her out along with five other Pinkos in the audience. ... By Zebulon Pike | January 27, 2009 It's important to realize the motivating forces behind the pending investigations of former President Bush's advisers. President Obama's stimulus plan is doomed to fail. His only recourse is to keep 50% + 1% of Americans fixated on their hatred of George W. Bush's Administration : AP WASHINGTON – The House Judiciary Committee chairman subpoenaed former White House adviser Karl Rove on Monday to testify about the Bush administration 's firing of nine U.S. attorneys and its prosecution of a former Democratic governor. Saturday Night Live mocked FOX News and its pundits last night for their coverage of the 2009 elections. They included Glenn Beck, Greta Van Sustern, Juan William, Karl Rove and more. Personally, the lady imitating Greta bothers me. She is making her lips resemble Greta's. The Karl Rove imitator is a bit insulting also. Infact, they all are. Here's the link to the video

I was too nice in ascribing merely a trillion dollar deficit bequeathed to Obama, as a reader reminds me: According to the treasury department's Bureau of Public Debt, the federal deficit went from $5,728,195,796,181.57 on January 22, 2001 to $10,626,877,048,913.08...

Yesterday's election showed many cracks developing in the alliance that put the Democrats into power just one year ago. Independent voters were the most obvious but there were others, while still voting democratic young and urban voters were not motivated to come out for Obama's candidates, especially in New Jersey the state where the POTUS invested the most time and political capital. The other group shifting away from the Obama coalition is...

There's much debate about the efficacy of controlling pollutants with economic incentives, also known as cap-and-trade. Its advocates dress it up with a lot of moral indignation. Cap-and-trade would not achieve its goals—and it would put America on a ruinous course. Here's why:
