Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles have
released defensive end Derrick Burgess and signed defensive end Bobby McCray. McCray spent time with the Texans this season, but he did not play any games.
McCray played in all 16 games in 2009 with the Saints and recorded 1.5 sacks. in 2008 he started eight games with the Saints and recorded 6 sacks. His best season came in 2006 with the Jaguars when he recorded ten sacks and forced two fumbles.
Burgess played Tuesday night, which was surprising since he was inactive the previous week. In 2009 Burgess started six games and recorded 5 sacks playing defensive end and outside linebacker with the Patriots.
