In addition to Kelly Gregg and Willis McGahee, the Baltimore Ravens have informed tight end Todd Heap that
he will be released. The Ravens are trying to get under the salary cap before the NFL announces the start of the 2011 season. The move saves the Ravens $4.6 million.
In addition, Ravens wide receiver Derrick Mason will also
be released. Both Mason and Heap could re-sign with the Ravens for less money, but they will likely explore the free agency market before/if they return.
In other news, Browns tight end Tyson DeVree has been told that
he will be released.
