Freida, 25, and Dev, 19, were introduced to a prehensile-tailed porcupine called Icana and Diego the ocelot, an endangered species of cat from South America often hunted for their beautiful fur. “He is so soft and cute,” Freida was overheard saying back in her hotel lobby. Indian-origin British teenager Dev Patel won the loudest cheer from fans as he walked up the red carpet for the BAFTA awards ceremony. The “Slumdog Millionaire” actor, who comes from an ordinary family in the London suburb of Harrow, received a deafening welcome from fans when he joined the red carpet at the Royal Opera House Sunday night, Sky News reported. Mon, 02 Feb 2009 "Slumdog Millionaire" actor Dev Patel's star has just gotten a little brighter. The SAG award winner has been added to the cast of M. Night Shyamalan 's "The Last Airbender." The live-action Paramount feature film, based on the Nickelodeon animated series "Avatar: The Last Airbender," has tapped the 18-year-old actor to play Zuko, a member of the Fire nation. The role was originally given to actor/singer Jesse McCartney, who dropped out because of scheduling conflict, Variety reports.
