Mammoth Lakes, CA – At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2008, the Lake Mary Road Tunnel that provides access to the Lakes Basin and the Eagle Express Chairlift collapsed. The cause of the collapse has not been determined at this time and no injuries occurred. As a result of the collapse, Lake Mary Road is closed to vehicular traffic above Bridges Lane.
