News on the Reopening of Snowcreek of Athletic Club in Mammoth Lakes CA

Snowcreek Athletic Club: Frequently Asked Questions:

Will the Club stay open after November 30th?

Yes.  It will likely close for a several days so we can initiate some maintenance, reconfiguration, repairs and minor upgrades.  We are busy scheduling activities now.  We plan to provide you with more detailed information on the short-term closure dates by November 19th.

What do I need to do to begin a membership at the NEW Snowcreek Athletic Club?

Please fill out a form that is available at the service desk or complete the one mailed to you (if you receive monthly statements).  This form only requests contact information (i.e. name, address, phone, email address) at this point.  We will be contacting all members within the next few weeks to provide you with a membership application and to answer your questions.

Will there be a new initiation fee?

No.  Most of you paid an initiation fee with the prior owners.  That fee was earned and used by the prior ownership and covered administrative costs of setting up your account and orienting you to the facility when you began your initial membership.  It is not a security deposit and is not transferred to the new ownership group.  We will have an open enrollment period for the first 30 days after re-opening the club.  If you sign up a new membership agreement during that time frame we will waive any initiation fees.

What are the monthly membership rates going to be?

If you have a Gold Membership, Senior Gold Membership Monthly or Seasonal Membership your rates will be the same.  If you have a membership as part of a group (i.e. Mammoth Mountain, Mammoth Hospital, etc.) we will be contacting your representatives within the next couple weeks to discuss continuation of your agreement.

Who are the new owners?

The new owners of Snowcreek Athletic Club have an established a positive business presence and reputation in the Eastern Sierra.  The ownership team combines the management expertise operating the Double Resort and Spa in June Lake with the architect who created it and who has done business locally for many years.  Our team’s commitment to quality and excellence will build upon the high standards established by the previous ownership.

What kinds of changes are planned for Snowcreek Athletic Club?

The changes and improvements can be classified as INITIAL (or DAY 1 as we like to call it) and PHASE 2.  In the INITIAL phase we will be cleaning, reconditioning and making other minor improvements throughout the facility.  Additionally, we will make some changes to the layout and location of the fitness equipment at Snowcreek.  As a result, the location of cardio workout equipment, spinning bikes, some of the weight machines and free-weights will change.  We will also move some of the classrooms to other locations and will re-open the Snowcreek Cafe.  The Spa services component of Snowcreek will be expanded to offer you a more expansive and comfortable area for these services.  We think you will like it.  We hope to post a facility design diagram to provide you with some of the details of these changes by late November.

Do you have a website?

We are aggressively working on a new website dedicated solely to the Snowcreek Athletic Club.  The site will allow members to look up class schedules, find more information on services available at the club and provide easy access for giving us feedback and suggestions.  We will contact you shortly with details on how to access the website.

What if I have other questions not covered by this flyer?

Are happy to try and answer your questions.  Please email us at membership@snowcreekathleticclub.com or write your questions on the back of the letter that came with your statement or is being handed out at the service desk.
