Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant is headed to the NFL. Bryant told ESPN.com that he plans to enter the 2010 NFL draft, disclosing his intentions late Thursday after the NCAA rejected a final appeal by the school to reinstate the junior All-American who lied about contact with former NFL player Deion Sanders.

The local sports radio station here in OKC had a discussion about Dez Bryant's suspension from playing football until next September.  There were accusations made on the broadcast that Mike Leach was the one who spotted Dez Bryant participating in questionable behavior and acted as the source for NCAA officials' attention to the matter.   I'm curious if anyone has any print on this.  I also wonder if it isn't foundation-work to get the team...  

Wow.  I was just watching ESPN and radio host Scott Van Pelt just ripped the NCAA for suspending Oklahoma State Wide Reciever Dez Bryant, who didn't break any NCAA rules, but lied to investigators because he thought he had.  Van Pelt implied that Bryant was suspended because he didn't go to a big enough school, but that Oklahoma State was just big enough for the NCAA to make an example out of them.  However, he ripped on the NCAA for not going...  

Did anybody find it interesting that when the NCAA Student-Athlete Reinstatement staff came down with its decision Tuesday night effectively closing the book on Dez Bryant's career with the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Bryant was apparently somewhere in Dallas and was granting an interview to a former Dallas Cowboys beat writer that is now working for ESPNDallas.com.

I'm not an Oklahoma State fan, but the NCAA's ruling against Dez Bryant is beyond believable, and with this ruling, hopefully, the NCAA changes its policies. Then again, they have the absolute power.
