This is by far one of the most ignorant things i've personally seen someone create. This is outrageous and this is just not the right thing to do to gain votes. I am see this as a direct blow to the African American Culture and To connect all African Americans with cool-aid, fried chicken and watermelon is racist . That "Obama Bucks" image sent out by a Republican women's club in San Bernardino County, which featured a photo of Barack Obama on paper currency surrounded by a potpourri of racially-charged Jim Crow-era images? Turns out it wasn't created by club president, Diane Fedele, but ... Read Full Story

The republican group “The Chaffey Community Republicans Women hit an all time low depicting an image of presidential candidate Barack Obama on a phony $10 dollar bill with non other than African American stereotyped images of a bucket of fried chicken, a watermelon and ribs. The insult is not as much in the act; it is instead in justification by denial by the group’s president Diane Fedele that it was racist. Amazingly she though it would be a good way to focus on a comment Obama made early in his campaign that he being an African American didn’t look like the past president which ... Read Full Story

The Chaffey Community Republican Women, Federated recently hit the national news cycle with its dissemination of the Obama Bucks image, but to me this is just as bad if not worse. While the Obama Bucks are outright racist, this calls for the torture of a presidential candidate. It isn't an outright threat on Senator Obama, but it is one of the most deplorable images that has come out of the extreme right, where racism has been drawn from behind closed doors and out in the spotlight for everyone to see. Fortunately, California's official Republican Party has been as quick as anyone to point out ... Read Full Story
