For me the best part of the movie Nights in Rodanthe , which I finally watched last week, were David Finck's gorgeous driftwood boxes. Finck, a distinguished woodworker from North Carolina, not only made the driftwood boxes but also set up a sequence so Diane Lane could appear to make one of the boxes in the movie. He also supplied some of the tools and coached Lane in a few aspects of dovetail joinery. I think he should have risen to stardom, but on his website he writes...
