I bought this camera years ago when it first came out for around $120. Now that I have had it for several years I must say I have gotten my moneys worth and then some. I've taken this camera with me from construction sites to vacation destinations and I've been able to get consistently good pictures. Not GREAT but good. It's well worth spending a few minutes learning the menu options and settings because it will make a big difference in your picture quality. Knowing when to adjust for lighting and when to use the flash even helps with the battery levels. I've used ... Read Full Story

Let me tell you from experience how important it is to know how to shoot good digital video with your camcorder before going on that vacation or filming that big event. When I was getting married my sister offered to film the happy day for me with her new camcorder, I agreed as it would save money on the wedding as a videographer could get quite expensive. Let me tell you how wrong I was, the digital video was dark, shaky and blurred anytime she went into zoom or moved around the room. The sound was off and muffled and it was more of ... I purchased the Sony DSC P73 a week ago for $235 at a local retailer. I have an older 2 megapixel Sony digital camera, also, that I have been pleased with.I wanted this camera because it has a higher resolution than my old camera, and it also has a viewfinder, which was lacking on my 3-year-old camera. After using this camera for a week, I am very happy with my decision to purchase it.It has many features that make it an outstanding camera for a very low price. I am very pleased with the performance so far.My pictures have been very crisp and clear.I ... Read Full Story

The true market for this camera is someone who wants to have one device that is compact, shoots excellent quality pictures, and has the capability of capturing 720P HD movies. It's a Canon, so the image quality is a given.Tons of examples on Flickr if you simply search for "canon SD960" or "IXUS 110".Colors are true, not highly sharpened, low chromatic aberration, and rich with detail.Do not, however, mistake this power of the DIGIC IV processor to be perfect and free of noise at high zoom or ISO above 400.Compared to its class, however, the results are just great for the price point. But ... Read Full Story
