Any lens can be safe to use on that camera with the proper gripping technique. If it is super heavy, then she should use a monopod or tripod attached to the zoom lens. When taking pictures, she should put one hand under the lens to support it. However, contacting Olympus would be the best idea.

Large heavy lenses always have their own tripod mount so to use them when fitted to a tripod use that, any camera can easily carry its own weight hanging off the lens.
When used hand held you should be supporting the lens with your left hand anyway which is the correct way to use any DSLR.
Used properly its a non issue.
