If you've been wondering where that lesbian couple has been the last couple of days, I suspect they're two of the thousands of like minded women who have invaded Palms Springs for the peculiarly named Dinah Shore weekend. Who the fuck was Dinah Shore ? A totally straight girl who died in 1994 after a late life fling with Burt Reynolds. The word is she started the golf tournament in Palm Springs, and hated the snotty little thing so much she let it be turned into a Sapphic Spring Break. Whether or not that is true or not, today it has little to do ... Read Full Story

Denise and I made our way to Dinah Shore in Palm Springs last weekend. We decided that we did not want to partake in the whole weekend, so we drove up Saturday and stayed through Sunday. For those few out there who are wondering why in the world we would waste a perfectly good weekend at a golf terminant, Dinah Shore is so much more than it seems. It has become what many refer to as "lesbian spring break," or "lesbians gone wild." I must say, it deserves both those titles. The first lesbian Dinah Shore lesbian fest was, I learned this past weekend, ... Read Full Story

Dinah Shore has once again come and gone. Denise and I had a great time..... organizing our room!! Sadly, Denise and I did not make our way to bikini clad ladies in the sun, but instead decided to stay home, save the money, and get our room picked up and more zen like. We had actually intended to go, but then at the last minute decided it was just too expensive and could not justify spending all the money on girlbar in Palm Springs. I still have the same feelings I did last year about the exploitive nature of that weekend, and the ridiculous ... Read Full Story
If only the video and audio quality in this clip were better! Iggy Pop at the first peak of his greatness (I think he's still pretty great), talking about how the technology and industrial ambience of his hometown Detroit influenced the "raw power" that became his trademark sound.
